Tips with great odds for this weekend's league rounds 9 to 10 December 2023
During this week there has been a lot of cup games except in the Premier League where one league round was played. This weekend, however, there are full rounds in all the leagues, and we have picked out five tips that gives you great odds during this Saturday and Sunday. Will Nottingham's Anthony Elanga help us get our prediction right this weekend?
Wolverhampton - Nottingham Forest - Saturday 4pm
We start with a real gamble. Nottingham Forest have very poor form at the moment and in their last game, on Wednesday, they lost 0-5 away to Fulham, the team's fourth straight defeat. However, we think this could be a wake-up call for Nottingham Forest and when they now face Wolverhampton we think they can break the negative trend. Wolves are coming off a win last time out, but it was against bottom team Burnley that they barely managed to win against at home. Just over four times the money at Nottingham is nice odds, although it should of course be seen as a bet with high risk.Atalanta - Milan - Saturday 18:00
Atalanta have charmed the world of football with their nice football for many years now, but this season it feels like they have lost it a bit. Most recently they lost against Torino with 0-3, and in the last four competitive matches they have two losses and two draws.AC Milan has alternated good efforts with less good ones this season, but it is mainly in the Champions League that they have had their worst efforts. Milan still follow Inter and Juventus closely at the top of the league, and we think they can very well win against Atalanta on Saturday, and for a Milan win you get around three times the money.
Villarreal - Real Sociedad - Saturday 18:30
Villarreal finished sixth in La Liga last season but started this season less good. However, they have improved themselves a lot lately and as they now play against the top team Real Sociedad at home, you will get nicely paid for a Villarreal win. It must be admitted that this tip is quite a bit on feeling, but around 3.5 times the money on a Villarreal win is an odds that it interesting. Having said that, of course Real Sociedad is not an easy game, but we think home ground advantage could decide in Villarreal 's favour.Everton - Chelsea - Sunday 15:00
It's hard to get a grip on Chelsea these days, they just can't seem to find any harmony in their play, especially away from home. Most recently they "only" lost with 1-2 against Manchester United, but the numbers were on the low side, United were a lot closer to 3-1 than Chelsea was to an equaliser. Before the announcement of Everton's points deduction, they had really started to find their form, but they then suffered a 0-3 loss at home to Manchester United immediately after the announcement. However, they quickly pulled themselves together and won the match after that against Nottingham, and in the last round they did not only win against Newcastle, they also did it with a clear 3-0. We believe that Everton will continue their winning streak here, and for an Everton win you will be rewarded with around three times the money.
Bayer Leverkusen's super talentented Florian Wirtz
Stuttgart - Bayer Leverkusen - Sunday 15:30
We finish with a match in the Bundesliga. Stuttgart is the surprise of the season and are third in the league, a lot thanks to the strikers Serhou Guirassy and Deniz Undav, with the former being second in the league's top scorer list even though he have had some injury problems lately, but in his absence Undav has delivered instead. Now, however, they face the league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who have been brilliant this season. After 13 rounds they have eleven wins and two draws, and the only point losses have been against Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. They average almost three goals scored per game and they have played very stable, thanks in large part to the young super talent Florian Wirtz. The two new signings this season, Victor Boniface and Álex Grimaldo (7 goals from as a left fullback!) have also delivered straight away. In addition, they have the Czech striker Patrik Schick on his way back after a long injury absence. Stuttgart will be tough to wear down, but an odds of a bit over twice the money is still handsomely paid for a Bayer Leverkusen win.
